Press Week: Ondo NUJ invites entries for professional awards

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has asked its interested members in Ondo State to start submitting their entries for Professional Awards in which winners will be honoured during the Union\’s Special Press Week Dinner and Award slated for Friday May 18, 2018.

A statement on Wednesday by the State Secretary of the union, Mr Leke Adegbite, said that the entries are for the 2017 edition of the award.

The categories of entries are:

1. Investigative Reporter of the Year (2017) (Electronics/Print)

2. Judicial Reporter of the Year (2017)
(Electronics/Print)

3. Grassroots Reporter of the Year (2017)
(Electronics/Print)

4. Information Manager of the Year (2017)

5. Cameraman of the Year (2017)

6. Photojournalist of the Year (2017)

7. Political Reporter of the Year
(2017)

(Electronics/Print)

8. Sports Reporter of the Year (2017)
(Electronics/Print)

The statement asked all interested members to submit their audio/video in CD format and full scripts for Broadcast category, while photocopies or original copies of published reports should be submitted for Print category.

Also, it asked interested Information Officers at Local Governments, Federal Information, State Information and NOA chapels to submit three of their Press Releases.

It said that all entries must have been published and broadcast between January and December, 2017, and should be submitted to the office of the NUJ State Secretary at the Press Centre, Akure or the Union\’s email: (ondostatenuj@yahoo.com) on or before Tuesday 15th May, 2018.
