Prayer warrior is a term used by many evangelical and other Christians to refer to anyone who is committed to praying for others. Today there are more of them than ever who are invited to intercede for the afflicted, the suffering and to rescue them. More than ever they pray in ecstacy, speak in tongues and babble.
Many assert that they are pure, blessed and gifted or called; some say that their style or manner of praying is not as willed by the Almighty Father, some that their style is biblical and others that they are possessed by the Holy Spirit.
Let’s examine the words “prayer” and “warrior” separately and combined to know if those assertions accord with the Will of God. Perhaps we may draw some benefits.
Prayer
Prayer is maintaining connection with luminous heights and opening of oneself to holy streams of power for earthly application. This demands recognising and doing the Holy Will. It requires alertness and mobility of spirit.
Prayer belongs to worship. Worship is living every moment joyfully as the Holy Will of the Father presents it to you. It is joyful experiencing and not singing, dancing, clapping hands, tapping legs, blissful shuddering and muttering words. To be in worship means watching and praying i.e. being alert and maintaining connection with luminous heights and opening of self to holy streams of power. It saves from falling in temptation.
Prayer is different from petition i.e. from asking or requesting which has now turned to demanding. Someone in prayer, in worship need not petition, for his needs are known. Our needs are determined by our activities. Our activities are recorded for us and given back to us by the Laws of God Which are self-enforcing.
Jesus, acclaimed by all as the highest Teacher and recognised by many as Part of the Almighty Father, already taught us how to be in worship, how to pray: He said: “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him”.
And He also said “God is Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth”. Spirit is our inner self, the real us. Truth issues from God and is expressed in Natural Laws. It is eternal, unchangeable. It is life. God is Truth. Jesus referred to Him in the text as spirit to bring it home to us according to our level of maturity then. God is above spiritual, He is Divine Unsubstantiate.
From the foregone explanation, one can deduce that silence and quietness are keys for maintaining connection to the luminous heights and opening oneself to holy streams of power, that once one could do this, everything balances for him, that many words, vain words, babbling, empty phrases or repetition of words is not necessary in praying but few words with one intention at a time.
The prayer Jesus taught shows pure worship of His Father and is devoid of petition. When consciously spoken, one vows and is filled with the urge to do the Will of the Father, to live in It. And in living It, to get his desires, overcome temptations and be free from evil. Every sentence of the Lord’s Prayer should be reflected upon before being uttered.
Warrior
A warrior is one who defeats his enemies without violence. A warrior does not need a weapon. His tool is purity of thoughts which makes him fearless. He is humble, courageous and compassionate. He is determined and perseveres under hardest circumstance.
Prayer Warrior
Combining the words, prayer warrior implies being alert, applying oneself to the Will of God and therewith maintaining connection to the luminous heights and open to streams of power. This condition makes one humble, enables him to courageously face every situation and overcome all that confront him or are presented to him, and treat the afflicted and the suffering with compassion in rescuing them.
Jesus’ earth-life shows what a warrior of the Light should be. He was always in worship, prayed secretly (in quiet places) in silence, and solemnly used few words with one intention as prayer point. He, at times, silently and humbly listened to people in synagogues, answered their questions and taught them. From the mountain top, He calmly taught people. In humility and quietness He, with compassion, treated the afflicted and the suffering, interceding for them and brought help to many. He faced every situation courageously.
The Prayer Warriors of today
Most of the so called prayer warriors of today deviate from the way shown by Jesus. They are noisy, arrogant, forceful and they operate where they would be seen. Most of them fortify themselves with extraneous substances to protect themselves from influences of darkness. They charge money or are paid salary for services. They are taught the art of praying, interceding and rescuing an afflicted as well as the implications in intercession and deliverance. Their courage is built into material substances prepared for their protection, defence and power of deliverance, which they named ‘Jesus’ in order to deceive people, even the elect. Most of them fake compassion. Today, a genuine prayer warrior can be found with torchlight in day time.
Conclusion
The greatest protection against darkness (evil) is keeping the hearth of our thoughts pure, purity of thoughts, loving your neighbour as yourself. Prayer warrior is developed as one lives in the Will of God. It is not taught or learnt, it is not a gift either. On developing such ability, the person draws to himself the virtues of humility, courage and compassion.
A true prayer warrior is humble, courageous and compassionate. A true prayer warrior, one who develops the ability naturally, stands firmer and brings more help than a group of so called prayer warriors who are taught and who secretly depend on extraneous aids for efficacy of prayer, protection, defence and deliverance when rendering service.
If two or more warriors of the Light work together, God’s presence will be there, more power will be drawn and dispensed and quicker would the purpose be achieved. Jesus said: “When two or three are gathered in my name, I am with them” But “in my name” in the statement is misunderstood to be mentioning Jesus, shouting It, beginning and ending prayers with It’. In my name’ means in truth. Living in truth draws the Presence of God of Whom Jesus is a Part.
When more than one person that lives in truth come together in prayer for one purpose, their prayer would rise from one point, have stronger effect based on the power of union, and bring faster rewards or answers.
A prayer warrior, a true worshipper stands in truth, in the Light always and is protected. He does not need to shout nor dance or bounce up and down while praying or interceding but silently and humbly presents himself in thanksgiving while doing so because his needs are known. He could only utter them in humble tone and sound or depending on the gravity of his focus of prayer, utter them in a solemn raised voice, as did Jesus when He healed the sick, cast out demons and called back life to dead bodies. Jesus showed us how to do everything.
I could explain this from the knowledge drawn from the work In the Light of Truth The Grail Message by Abd-ru-shin. Examine it yourself; you could gain more.
