Policemen attached to Supare Divisional Headquarters on Friday in collaboration with local hunters in the state went on a tour of duty to comb the bushes in the area for possible arrest of suspected kidnappers.
This joint operations became imperative based on the information received from a creditable source that suspected kidnappers were lurking in the bush.
A statement by the police spokeswoman in the state, SP Funmilayo Odunlami, said that the “police decided to be proactive and took the battle to them.”
The statement which promised to furnish the public with further updates, said: “The Commissioner of Police CP Oyeyemi Adesoye Oyediran, psc, fsi, is using this opportunity to reiterate the commands commitment to ensure adequate security within the state.”
