The Police have assured Odin State residents of adequate security during the coming Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
A statement on Wednesday by the spokesman in the state, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, said proactive security measures are already in place to ensure the safety of lives and property across the state before, during, and after the festivities.
It said, “The announcement aims to reassure citizens of the proactive security measures adopted by the Command to safeguard lives and property”.
Aknowledging the prevailing peace in the state, the Command urged members of the public to remain security-conscious and law-abiding throughout the festive period.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Umar Abba, psc, called on residents to celebrate peacefully and avoid any actions that could disrupt public order.
He emphasized that the Police would deal decisively with any individual or group found breaching the law.
