Oyetola vows to unseat Adeleke

Marine and Blue Economy minister, Gboyega Oyetola, has vowed to ensure that his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, returns to power in Osun State.

The minister governed the state between 2018 and 2022, when he was defeated by the incumbent, Governor Ademola Adeleke,

The state’s next governorship election is billed to hold on August 8, 2026.

Oyetola spoke during an inauguration and award ceremony organised by the Iron Ladies Group, a women-led association within the Osun APC, held in Osogbo, the state capital.

Represented at the event by the former Director-General of the State Bureau of Social Services, Mr. Richard Tinubu, Oyetola reaffirmed his commitment to providing leadership for the party.

“I will provide leadership for the APC and work hard to return the party to power in 2026,” he said.

He also charged party members, especially women in the group, to intensify grassroots mobilisation and continue to support President Bola Tinubu, noting that the president remains committed to repositioning the economy for the benefit of all Nigerians.

“Go into serious mobilisation for the APC,” he urged.

“Continue to rally support for President Bola Tinubu as he continues working to reposition the economy for the good of all Nigerians.”
