Osun State Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has given the nod for the upgrade of Osuntate College of Education Ilesa, the hometown of Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, to a university.
He announced this while commissioning the Ijesaland Geriatric Centre, Ilesa on Thursday.
He said: “Having looked into and examined carefully the request made by prominent sons and daughters of Ijesa Land, and Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland, Oba Gabriel Aromolaran, Government has decided to upgrade the Osun College of Education, Ilesa, to a full-fledged University.
