Osun state Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, on Monday disclosed the need for intervention from the Federal Government on the completion of some major federal road projects in the state.
Oyetola, on his visit to the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, listed them as Iwo-Osogbo, Osogbo- Ilobu and Osogbo- Ilesa roads.
The governor said some of the roads are in dire, deplorable state. He appealed to the minister for quick intervention and completion so as to reduce the sufferings of the people of the state.
“We have seen what you are doing in our state but we still need some more. Honourable minister, I still need you a lot in the areas of infrastructure,” he said.
Fashola replied to the governor’s request, stating the federal government is in the process constructing 365 roads nationwide.
