In collaboration with Jobberman, she said the government came up with a free programme to train youths on soft skills and job interviews.

She said: “This programme is crucial as it will prepare our youth when evaluating organisations or institutions so as to identify recruiters’ requirements in relation to skills and attributes ,knowing likely questions posed at interviews and good approaches in answering types of interview questions.”

According to her, youth unemployment has increased considerably. Consequently, the government has responded by taking comprehensive policy measures for young people, ranging from employability skills and income support programmes.

The aim,she added , was to put in place measures to boost employment prospect and aspirations of young people.

Youth Engagement Associate, Jobberman Nigeria, Damilola Odubanjo, said employability skills training was critical as more young Nigerians enter the job market every year.
