Six senior police officers serving with the Osun State Police Command have been promoted to their next rank.
They were elevated from the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) by the Police Service Commission (PSC).
The newly promoted officers and their beats are:
- CSP Idris Yahaya Balogun – O/C Abere;
- CSP Mohammed Suleiman – DPO Ikoyi;
- CSP Bosede David Femi – DPO Oja-Oba;
- CSP Akanmu Sunday Gbadebo – DPO Ejigbo;
- CSP Oladapo Titilope Hammed – DPO ‘A’ Division, Ilesa; and
- CSP Ajani Motunrayo – DC Intelligence, SCID Osogbo.
In a brief but colourful decoration ceremony held at the Command Headquarters in Osogbo, the state’s Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Gotan, mnips, commended the officers for their dedication, professionalism, and exemplary service to the people of Osun State.
He charged them to redouble their efforts in the fight against crime and continue upholding the highest standards of the Nigeria Police Force.
The Commissioner also expressed appreciation to the Police Service Commission (PSC) and the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, for their support and recognition of merit through the promotion exercise.
According to him, the elevation reflects the Force’s commitment to rewarding hard work, integrity, and excellence.
Osun State Police Command reassured the general public of its unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents across the state.
