Peoples Democratic Party members of the Osun State House of Assembly have reaffirmed their loyalty to Governor Ademola Adeleke, and the party.

Also, they dismissed speculations of internal crisis, division, or defection within their ranks.

At a press briefing in Osogbo on Tuesday, the lawmakers, numbering 25, stated unequivocally that the House remains united and focused, and that they are fully aligned with the leadership and developmental agenda of Governor Adeleke.

“There is no division in this House. There is no defection. There is no crisis. The rumours flying around are simply rumours. We are not in the business of chasing shadows,” the lawmakers said through a collective statement delivered to the press.

Reaffirming their commitment to the PDP, the legislators described themselves as “men of honour,” adding that they are not for sale and will not be swayed by pressure or political noise.

“We hold the mandate of our people, and we intend to keep that trust with dignity, loyalty, and a clear conscience. We come from the grassroots and we feel the pulse of our constituents daily,” the statement read.

The lawmakers praised the performance of Governor Adeleke, describing his leadership as impactful and widely accepted by the people of the state. According to them, Adeleke’s achievements in governance have earned him the confidence of Osun residents.

“The people of Osun are with this Governor. They have seen what he is doing. They have felt the impact of his leadership. They know he is working—and so do we,” the lawmakers said.

They also expressed full confidence in the state leadership of the PDP under Hon. Sunday Bisi, stating that the party remains strong, united, and focused ahead of the 2026 elections.

The legislators used the opportunity to formally declare their support for Governor Adeleke’s second-term ambition, pledging to work for his re-election.

“In 2026, by the grace of God and the will of the people, we will return him to office to continue the good work he has started,” the statement concluded.

The lawmakers also commended one another for remaining steadfast in the face of political distractions, emphasizing their shared vision and solidarity.

“To the good people of Osun, we say this—ignore the noise. What you see here is unity, what you see is focus, and what you see is commitment,” they said.

The statement brings a clear response to recent speculation about defections and internal discord within the ruling party’s legislative arm, signaling a strong show of party cohesion ahead of the 2026 political season.
