Osun State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Wednesday received a generous donation of operational gears from two prominent local companies — Sam-Ace Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Ltd. and Abebi Foods Ltd.

Seem as a demonstration of community support and corporate responsibility, the ceremony, held at the Sector Command’s Public Enlightenment Hall in Osogbo.

At the official handover, the Corps got 100 branded raincoats and 100 reflective jackets from Sam-Ace Pharmaceuticals, along with 25 additional reflective jackets from Abebi Foods.

The donation is part of the Command’s efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships aimed at funding 30% of its road safety programmes in line with the FRSC’s 2025 Corporate Strategic Goals.

The event was spearheaded by the Sector Commander, CC Leye Adegboyega, whose proactive leadership and commitment to staff welfare have attracted notable community goodwill.

In his remarks, Adegboyega expressed profound appreciation to the donors, describing the gesture as “timely, essential, and morale-boosting,” especially as officers operate under often harsh and unpredictable weather conditions.

“The safety and visibility of our personnel on the field cannot be compromised,” he said. “These operational tools not only ensure our officers are protected but also motivate them to perform better.”

The Managing Director of Sam-Ace Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Sam O. Olawoye, lauded the FRSC’s professionalism, saying their service is critical to national development.

“This is our small way of saying thank you and supporting the vital work you do every day on Nigerian roads,” he said.

Also speaking, Mrs. Adebisi Ganiyat, CEO of Abebi Foods Ltd., praised the visible impact of the Command under Adegboyega’s leadership.

“When we see a leader who inspires change and delivers results, it’s only natural to want to support the mission,” she stated.

The ceremony featured the symbolic adornment of the donated raincoats and jackets by the donors, the Sector Commander, and selected personnel marking the formal commissioning of the items.

Also present were members of the Command’s management team, unit commanders, officers and marshals, Special Marshals’ executives, and media representatives from NTA Osogbo, who provided coverage.

“With this kind of partnership, Osun FRSC is not just building safer roads—it is building trust, resilience, and a culture of support that truly saves lives.”
