Osun at 34: Amotekun boss Omoyele felicitates Adeleke, people

As Osun State commemorates its 34th anniversary, the Corps Commander of the state:s Amotekun Corps, Chief Adekunle Omoyele, has congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke, and the people of the state on this significant milestone.

Omoyele, in a statement in Osogbo, described the anniversary as a time for reflection, gratitude, and a renewed commitment to the unity and development of the “State of the Living Spring.”

He commended the governor’s transformational leadership noting that his administration has ushered in visible and impactful progress across critical sectors — including infrastructure, healthcare, education, digital innovation, and most notably, security.

“Governor Adeleke’s unwavering support for Osun’s security architecture, particularly the Amotekun Corps, has significantly contributed to the peace and stability our state currently enjoys,” Omoyele stated.

He highlighted the enhanced synergy between security agencies under the current administration, crediting it for the safe and secure environment that allows both residents and businesses to thrive.

“The Governor’s backing has strengthened our capacity to protect lives and property, and created a peaceful atmosphere that supports economic and social growth,” he added.

He used urged residents to maintain peaceful coexistence, stressing that security is a shared responsibility.

“As we celebrate 34 years of Osun’s existence, I call on all residents to live peacefully, regardless of political, ethnic, or religious differences. Let us remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest security agency,” he said.

He reaffirmed the Amotekun Corps’ commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state, promising continued collaboration with other agencies and local communities to build a more secure and prosperous Osun.

Omoyele wished citizens a joyous anniversary celebration and reiterated his Corps’ dedication to sustaining peace, order, and collective progress in the state.
