Osun State Commissioner for Health, Mr Jola Akintola has assured the Excellent Community Education Welfare Scheme (ECEWS) that the Ademola Adeleke administration will extend necessary support in the area of providing a qualitative health care delivery system.
He disclosed this during an advocacy visit to him in his office by the leadership of ECEWS, where six laptops were presented to the officers-in-charge of the clinical mentorship, for monitoring health facilities and anything that has to do with HIV in Osun State.
Akintola appreciated the ECEWS for its usual interventions in health programmes, while still soliciting more of the Scheme’s supports and partnership.
Earlier in his remarks, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Dr Isiaka Adekunle appreciated ECEWS for the wonderful work it has been doing, especially on the HIV and Aids programmes.
Adekunle stated that like Oliver Twist, Osun State Government still needs more of the Organisation’s support, advancing that Government can not do it all alone.
Also speaking, the State Programme Manager for Excellent Community Education Welfare Scheme (ECEWS), Dr. Oluwaseunfunmi Adefiranye hinted that ECEWS is currently running the USCDS-funded speed project which is an HIV project in Osun state .
She stressed that the clinical mentors had been employed under this programme for Osun State and that laptops are being procured and distributed for easy work, sending mails and easy analysis of data, in order to be able to work across board and to implement the HIV projects, which the State Government is expected to also take up.
