Osun State Governor Adeleke has approved payment of the balance of gratuity to those who retired between 2008 and 2011.
The Permanent Secretary of the Local Government Staff Pension Bureau, Mr Ibrahim Akibu made this known in a statement son Thursday in Osogbo.
He admonished the concerned pensioners to come to the Bureau for documentation and confirmation of their names.
Mr Akibu stated that the amount released is two hundred and ten million (N210, 000,000) for the Primary school teachers who retired between 2008 and 2011.
“Mr. Governor has graciously approved the immediate payment of over two hundred million to primary school teachers who retired under the old pension scheme between 2008 and 2011.
“Those concerned are to our office in Abere for proper documentation and prompt payment of their money without any delay.
It would be recalled that Governor Ademola Adeleke, on July 12th, 2024, approved and released N103,337,718:34 for the local government retirees (old pension scheme).
