Osun APC fires back, says PDP breaking, being haunted by failure

Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state of being haunted by the failures and maladministration that have allegedly defined the Governor Ademola Adeleke-led government.

it said the PDP’s record in governance has been nothing short of an abysmal failure across all sectors.

APC, in a statement by its State Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, described the recent outburst by the state PDP chairman, Mr. Sunday Bisi, as baseless and laughable.

It said Bisi’s allegations that the opposition party is promoting crisis in the state is a mere figment of his imagination and a desperate attempt to divert public attention from the internal collapse rocking the PDP at all levels.

“Who else is known for violence if not the PDP?” the statement read. “The records are clear — from countless violent incidents involving its members to the recent arrest of a PDP-linked political thug, a member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), caught in Osogbo with two guns and several bullets.”

The APC reminded the public of past acts of violence allegedly perpetrated by the PDP, including the killing of over 30 APC members and supporters — with about 17 victims from Ijesaland, Mr. Bisi’s own area — during the last election cycle.

The party also recalled the brutal murder of Hon. Remi Abass, one of its reinstated local government chairmen, in Irewole Local Government Area, an incident for which suspects are now standing trial in Abuja.
