Osun 2026: Digital influencers rally for Oyebamiji

Osun State Politics

About 3,000 digital influencers from all corners of Osun State have converged, their mission clearly to rally behind the governorship aspiration of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, better known as AMBO.

The gathering marked the inaugural physical meeting of the AMBO Media Front (AMF), a formidable coalition of online voices ready to shift the political tide using the power of new media.

The atmosphere crackled with purpose. From seasoned bloggers to rising TikTokers, from political analysts to local social media champions, the crowd reflected a vibrant mix of experience and youthful energy. They weren’t just content creators—they were foot soldiers of a new digital revolution.

Mr. Adebayo Adedeji, a respected journalist and digital strategist, delivered a stirring keynote address. His voice carried weight, each word carefully chosen.

“Today,” he declared, “we are not just media handlers. We are a movement. A progressive front with a mission to usher in a leader with proven integrity and competence.”

Adedeji praised AMBO’s tenure as Commissioner for Finance, recalling how he had brought stability to the state during the era of modulated salaries. “He didn’t just crunch numbers—he inspired confidence. That’s the kind of leadership Osun needs now more than ever,” he said.

The rallying cry was simple: spread the truth. Flood the digital space with facts, not fiction. Promote Oyebamiji’s track record, not propaganda. And above all, do it with dignity and discipline.

Hon. Funso Fagbohungbe, once a top aide to former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, echoed the sentiment with sharp clarity. “This is not just a campaign,” he said. “It is a mission. Our candidate is not a hard sell—he’s a winning brand. Now we must stay consistent and coordinated.”

The call for discipline wasn’t just rhetoric. It was a reminder that in the digital age, one tweet can shape perception, and one video can tilt opinions. The room was filled with individuals who understood this power—and were prepared to wield it wisely.

Comrade Kehinde Ayantunji, former NUJ Chairman in the state, brought the weight of experience. He urged the volunteers to see themselves not just as online commentators but as trusted narrators of a political journey.

“Your devices are your tools, yes—but your real strength lies in your integrity and your connection to the people,” he said. “We will support you, mentor you, and together, we’ll build something that resonates across every demographic.”

Other political figures—Prince Sesan Opadoyin, Hon. Mustapha Olaide (Olipha), and more—took turns applauding the enthusiasm of the AMF team. They reminded everyone that they were not just participants in a campaign, but co-authors of a new political chapter in Osun.

One influencer from Iwo stood up, her voice steady. “We’ve followed politicians who promised but didn’t deliver. AMBO is different. He’s been tested. And he’s trusted.”

As the day wound down, strategies were drawn. Communication channels were organized. Leadership roles were assigned. And amidst all of this, a pact was made—not written, but deeply felt: to carry AMBO’s message to every screen, every phone, every heart in Osun State.

In that moment, it became clear that the 2026 election would not be fought on posters alone, nor won at rallies alone. It would be a battle of narratives. And with over 3,000 digital warriors ready to serve, AMBO’s path to Abere had gained a powerful new momentum—one built not just on politics, but on purpose.
