As preparations intensify ahead of the 2026 Osun State governorship election, the Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) Grassrooters Team has inaugurated unit and ward campaign coordinators in Boripe Local Government Area to boost local mobilization and support for their candidate within the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The inauguration, held on Thursday, is part of an ongoing statewide effort by the AMBO team to energize party structures, create awareness, and build a strong electoral foundation in favor of Oyebamiji’s anticipated emergence as the APC flagbearer in the 2026 contest.
The latest move follows similar inaugurations across Ila, Ede-South, Irewole, Isokan, and Olorunda Local Government Areas, signaling the team’s strategic and consistent push across the state.
The event in Boripe had in attendance a host of APC stalwarts led by former lawmaker and Boripe APC leader, Barr. Bello Osuolale, alongside respected party figures including Alhaji Kareem Afolabi, Hon. Adebayo Adeniran, Alhaji Sulaimon Aderemi, Alhaji Yunus Sobalaje, and Prince Adebayo Adeleke, among many others.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Deji Agboola, leader of the AMBO Grassrooters Team, emphasized the team’s commitment to grassroots mobilization and their belief in Oyebamiji’s credibility and leadership track record.
> “This inauguration marks another step forward in our determination to secure massive support for AMBO. He is competent, capable, and ready to serve Osun State. His track record in both public and private sectors speaks for itself,” Agboola said.
He added that the AMBO project is driven by unity and confidence in Oyebamiji’s capacity to steer the affairs of the state towards prosperity, stating that by God’s grace, “he will emerge victorious and be sworn in come November 2026.”
Also speaking, Hon. Oye Adebayo, former Boripe Local Government Chairman, praised Oyebamiji’s integrity, loyalty, and financial expertise, noting that his experience in fiscal management would significantly benefit Osun if elected governor.
In his remarks, APC Boripe LG Chairman, Prince Mufutau Omogboye, and party elder Alhaji Rasak Oyediran, reaffirmed the party’s alignment with the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, stating that the party base in Boripe would wholeheartedly support whoever he endorses for the governorship.
The newly inaugurated coordinators pledged their full dedication to the campaign and urged residents across Boripe and Osun State to rally behind Oyebamiji.
The event was well attended by all members of the AMBO Grassrooters Team and marks another major stride in their statewide mobilization strategy ahead of the 2026 polls.
