Osun and Oyo States former Governors, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Senator Rashidi Ladoja, together with the Chief Ralph Nwosu-led National Working Committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), National Assembly members and stalwarts of the party across the country, would storm Ile Ife in Osun State on Thursday.
They, in addition with other people from all walks of life, are expected to attend the kick off of the gubernatorial campaign of the Osun State African Democratic Congress (ADC), at Enuwa Palace Square in Ile Ife.
These were contained in a statement signed by the media aide to the party’s governorship candidate, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, Mr. Kayode Oladeji, in Osogbo, on Wednesday.
The rally is aimed at formally presenting Akinbade and his deputy, Justice Olamide Oloyede (rtd), to the electorate on account of the September 22, scheduled governorship election.
According to a detailed schedule of the seven days campaign programme billed to end on Thursday, 20th September, as signed by the Director General of the Fatai Akinbade Campaign Organization (FACO), Mr Gbenga Abiola, a mega rally for the Ife Federal Constituency would comprise Ife Central, South, North and East Local Governments and the Modakeke Area Office.
Abiola implored members of the public and party supporters to troop out en masse to make the occasion a success, just as he implored them to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner during and after the programme.
