Akeredolu’s party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) won 23 out of 26 seats in the election.

By virtue of its importance, he said that the Local Government houses a number of industries, including a textile factory, a paper mill, and a cassava to ethanol factory, among others at the Ore Industrial Hub.

He said: “The flyover we are constructing in Ore, Odigbo Local Government is consuming half of what we spend on infrastructure in the state, this is part of our appreciation to the people of the area.”
