The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ondo State has inaugurated three reconciliation committees aimed at settling any issues that might have arisen during the party’s primary elections statewide.
This was contained in a statement by the party’s spokesman in the state, Mr Kennedy Ikantu Peretei, who said that this was “with a view to bringing all stakeholders on the same page in the overall interest of the party.”
According to the statement, the State Chairman Hon. Fatai Adams, said “the committee members are carefully selected leaders with proven records of dedication and commitment to the party and express confidence in their ability to deliver on the mandate.”
The committees, districts, chairmen and secretaries are as follows:
- Chairman and Secretary, Reconciliation Committee (South) are: Dr. Omotayo Dairo and Alhaji Sodiq Obanoyen respectively;
- Chairman and Secretary Reconciliation (Central) are: Dr. Bakkita Bello and Hon. Amuwa Benson respectively; and
- Chairman and Secretary Reconciliation Committee (North) are: Dr. Eddy Olafeso and Hon Bayo Alarapon respectively.
Adams equally urged the candidates to take the reconciliation agenda to their co-contestants in order to get the best out of the exercise.
