A Governorship aspirant on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ondo State, Comrade Dayo Fadahunsi, is celebrating with Muslims in the state, the country and the world at large as they jubilantly mark the end of the Ramadan fasting today.

In his special message to the Muslim faithful, he urged all Nigerians of whatever faith, to imbibe the exemplary self discipline, unselfishness, sacrifice, abstention from all impurities or filth, large heart, kindness to all and particularly the needy, among other noble characters  displayed by Muslims while fasting during the glorious month of Ramadan.

Fadahunsi, also a former Chairman of  the State Council of the Nigeria Union  of Journalists, NUJ, in his warm greetings to the Islamic faithful prayed:  “May the Blessings of Allah which poured out endlessly and descended on you and your families while observing the fast in the Glorious Month of Ramadan as enjoined on you by the noble Islam, radiate outwards to embrace the entire world, and cleanse the Earth of the pains and suffering inflicted on mankind by the Coronavirus pandemic.

As you celebrate today the end of the fasting in the glorious month of Ramadan, may these Blessings flow in and around you throughout; and may the Peace of Allah abide with you.”

He urged the Islamic faithful to continue to pray fervently that the Great, Compassionate, Ever Loving, Ever Merciful, All Powerful, All Knowing and Omnipresent Allah, forgives our sins and heals the people of Ondo State, Nigeria and the whole Earth of the rampaging coronavirus affliction.

He believed strongly that the genuine and pure prayers of the faithful today at the Eid-el-Fitr which marks the end of this highly significant month in Islam, endowed with so great a power of the purity contained in the prayers, would rise upwards without hindrance, to hit the Throne of Grace, and draw the ever flowing Mercy of the Almighty Allah, and answers to mankind’s Prayers and petitions for Help in this time of need.

He believed strongly that the usual blessings in the glorious month of Ramadan which richly poured on the Islamic faithful, Ondo State, Nigeria and the whole mankind, would combine with today’s special prayers to help greatly in cleansing the Earth of the COVID-19 pandemic, and healing  us of the wounds inflicted by this virus.

He said that this self discipline of voluntary abstention from all impurities and all wrongs is what we need foremost now in this Nation to rebuild our dear great Country Nigeria and launch her on the path to true greatness in accordance with the Holy Will of Allah.

Addressing the people of Ondo State and Nigeria at large, Fadahunsi expressed confidence that a new dawn would break for Nigeria despite the horrors of the coronavirus pandemic that the nation is going through.

He assured that there would be a bright light at the end of this dark tunnel; and that the peoples of Ondo State and Nigeria would come out better and stronger from their present undesirable experiences unleashed on them by the virus affliction.

Appealing to the people not to lose hope of a better tomorrow and a greater future ahead because of today’s painful circumstances, he assured that: “The One Who holds tomorrow is on our side, He is seated with us in our ship, no storm can upturn us, His hand is rested on us to give assurances that all will be well at the end.

“Let us remember that the darkest part of the night is the one closest to dawn.

“The night of weeping will be over soonest and the morning of joy will show forth; and the siege of the hard times and afflictions shall be lifted.

“Hold on, Never let go your trust and confidence in the ability of God to take us through these trying times. it will not be too long before it will be over by the Grace of God.

“The story will change and we shall burst forth with new songs of victory and thanksgiving.”

Fadahunsi said: “I bring to us the message of a better tomorrow despite what may be happening now. There is surely a bright light at the end of this dark tunnel.  We shall come out better and stronger.

“We must not lose hope of a better tomorrow and great future ahead because of the circumstances of today.”

He said: “We should be confident that in all that may be happening in and around us now, we are more than the conqueror through the Compassionate Allah Who loves us.

I wish our Muslim brothers and sisters deep happiness as they celebrate the Eid-el-Fitr today!”
