ONDO HoS Ogundele becomes CIPAN patron

The Chartered Institute of Public Administrators of Nigeria ( CIPAN), Akure Chapter will on Thursday deploy a stone to kill two birds having rolled out two key activities into a single one – a public lecture and inauguration of Ondo State’s Head of Service as patron of the chapter.

A statement by Mr. Sola Lebile said the theme is “Understanding your Environment: What a Public Administrator Should Know”.

The programme is scheduled to hold on Thursday 24th August 2023 at SITA Hall, Akure by 3.30 pm.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Environment, Mr. Oyeniyi Oseni is the keynote Speaker.

The event is meant to stimulate discussions on the environment to upscale efforts for developing the exo- system which has continued to suffer neglect and abuse.

It will also feature the inauguration of the Ondo State Head of Service, Mr. Kayode Ogundele, FCIPM, FCIPAN as patron of the Chapter.

He will take the baton from his predecessor, Pastor Niran Adeyemo.

Some dignitaries expected at the programme include the Chief of Staff to Mr. Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Amidu Takuro as well as the Special Adviser on Union Matters and Special Duties,Mr. Dare Aragbaiye, among others.

Last February, CIPAN, Akure Chapter organized a similar event, entitled, ” Actors in Public Administration: The Challenges of Application of Knowledge-based Skills to the Effective Management of Security Architecture in Nigeria having High Chief Adetunji Adeleye, the Special Adviser to Mr Governor on Security Matters and the State Commander of Amotekun Corps as the keynote Speaker.

Speaking on the nature of the event, the Chairman of the Chapter, Prince Oladele Akinmoye disclosed,” This edition will be unique because understanding our environment as HR practitioners will help to involve the template for action to save the environment from neglect and abuse’

“We are mobilizing members and non-members alike to ensure a large number of participants during the programme,” Akinmoye added.
