Ondo consoles Kwara over Woro attack

Ondo State Government has condoled with its Kwara counterpart and people over the attack on Woro community, which led to the loss of innocent lives and disruption of peace.

A statement by the Information and Orientation commissioner, Mr Idowu Ajanaku, described the incident as painful, disturbing and a sad reminder of the security challenges confronting parts of the country.

It sympathized with Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, the affected families, and the entire people of Woro, noting that it stands in solidarity with that state at this difficult time.

Also, it prays for the repose of the souls of the victims and asked the Lord to grant comfort, strength and healing to the bereaved families, while wishing those injured a speedy and full recovery.

The statement reaffirmed Ondo commitment to peace, unity and collective action against all forms of violence, stressing that such acts must not be allowed to undermine national cohesion and the safety of communities.

It commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for deploying a battalion of military personnel to the affected areas.
