Family members, friends and political associates yesterday flocked around the Ondo State commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperative Services, Deaconess LoLa Fagbemi, as she marked her birthday.
A statement by Bisi Agboola said that it was a day she chose to solemnly set aside to appreciate her Creator in prayer “but her family, friends and political allies took the event far by adding colour and varieties.”
According to the statement: “She was woken at her Alagbaka Quarters, Akure residence by trumpeters and the brass band boys organized by some political groups.
“The shout of halleluyah rented the air as the band boys finally set their instruments to entertain with melody tunes.
“Visitors who already memorized the 13th September as her special day began to troop in especially from her immediate constituency, Ondo.
“The elated celebrant had to make a quick arrangement for food and refreshment.
“The bigwigs in politics across Ondo and Ekiti states were around to congratulate Hon.Lola Fagbemi on her new age.
“Special Prayer was offered by Pastor Babalola of the CAC Agbayori adura, Ondo. There were lots to eat and drink till evening.”
