Ahead of the 2019 general elections in the country, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Engnr Ade Adetimehin, on Wednesday assured that the Primary election of the party in the state would be free and transparent.
He stated this in Akure, Ondo State capital, while receiving the leaders of Not-Too-Young To Run group in his office, saying that the current administration in the state would not condone indiscipline under whatever guise.
Adetimehin who was represented by his deputy, Hon. Agabra Atili said APC in the state would always promote transparency while the imposition of candidates would not be encouraged.
“We are products of a free, fair, and credible congress, and would, therefore, not promote or encourage imposition in whatever form.
“The party is working towards an all-inclusive level, where no one would be excluded from participating on account of finance,” he said.
Adetimehin pledged that the APC would continue to promote the inclusion of the youths in the running of the party and administration of the state saying this was responsible for the election of Kolade Lawal, as Deputy National Youth Leader, and that of Comrade Oladimeji Ayodele as Assistant State Publicity Secretary.
