Celebration

The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State, has described the 61st birthday of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as a milestone of chronological achievement and a resplendent testament to a life profoundly dedicated to service, integrity, and visionary stewardship.

In a statement on Monday by its Director, Media & Publicity, Mr. Steve Otaloro, the party commended the governor for what it called his transformative leadership.

Following is the full statement:

“On behalf of the entire leadership, executives, and teeming members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, we extend our most heartfelt and exuberant congratulations to our esteemed leader, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the Executive Governor of Ondo State, as he marks his 61st birthday today. This milestone is not merely a chronological achievement but a resplendent testament to a life profoundly dedicated to service, integrity, and visionary stewardship.

In the annals of our party’s illustrious history, Governor Aiyedatiwa stands as a paragon of transformative leadership. We profusely thank him for the innovative paradigms he has ingeniously instituted within our party structure, fostering an unparalleled ethos of inclusivity and empowerment. These measures have imbued every executive committee member from the grassroots wards to the apex state level- with a profound sense of belonging and fulfillment in their noble capacities.

Under his sagacious guidance, our party cadres have been galvanized, their aspirations ignited, and their commitments fortified, ensuring that the APC in Ondo State thrives as a cohesive bastion of progressive ideals.

As we anticipate the forthcoming APC National Convention and Congress in March 2026- a pivotal conclave where our dedicated members shall elect a new vanguard to pilot the party’s affairs for the ensuing quadrennium- we envision this epochal event as a rewarding apotheosis of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s exemplary leadership. It shall indelibly etch his imprimatur upon the party’s trajectory in Ondo State, affirming his role as a luminary whose strategic acumen has elevated our collective endeavors to unprecedented heights.

Furthermore, we heartily congratulate His Excellency on his myriad accomplishments in repositioning Ondo State as a burgeoning industrial epicenter. The audacious agreements forged for the Ondo Deep Sea Port and the monumental $50 billion refinery project, encompassing a 500,000-barrel-per-day facility and an expansive free trade zone, epitomize his foresight and unwavering resolve.

These initiatives, poised to catalyze economic renaissance, decongest national maritime corridors, and engender multitudinous employment opportunities, shall endure as lofty legacies transcending his tenure. They embody an enduring patrimony, bequeathing prosperity to generations unborn and solidifying Ondo State’s stature as a gateway to international commerce and innovation.

As a devout pastor and fervent preacher of the Gospel, Governor Aiyedatiwa has exemplified spiritual fortitude in governance, frequently leading edifying services at the Government House Chapel.

His administration resonates with divine orchestration, as he heeds the sacred injunction of Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

“Indeed, God’s sovereign hand has been manifest in steering the affairs of our state, shielding it from adversities and prospering its pursuits. We beseech continued divine protection upon him, invoking Psalm 91:11: “For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.”

On this joyous occasion, we wish Governor Aiyedatiwa a jubilant celebration, replete with boundless joy, robust health, and unyielding divine favor. May the Almighty perpetuate his wisdom, vitality, and grace as he continues to shepherd Ondo State toward unparalleled grandeur.

Long live Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa! Long live the APC! Long live Ondo State!”
