The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in Ondo State has celebrated what it called 100 days of progress under Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
In a statement on Thursday by Mr.Steve Otaloro, Director, Media & Publicity, the party said, “As we mark the first 100 days of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s administration, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State proudly acknowledges the commendable strides made towards improving the lives of our citizens since his swearing-in on February 24, 2025.
Governor Aiyedatiwa has embarked on numerous developmental projects aimed at enhancing infrastructure across the state. A key highlight is the launch of the Zero Pothole Initiative, which focuses on rehabilitating roads to ensure safe and efficient transportation for all Ondo State residents.
In his commitment to creating economic opportunities, the Governor has laid a solid foundation for sustainable growth through initiatives such as the disbursement of N220 million in soft loans. This initiative is empowering thousands of individuals, particularly the youth, to become successful entrepreneurs, thereby stimulating the local economy. Additionally, the administration is boosting agriculture, particularly cocoa production, and has unveiled a N2 billion fund dedicated to supporting food security and infrastructure development, solidifying Ondo State’s role as a vital player in Nigeria’s agricultural landscape.
The Governor’s focus on healthcare is evident in his efforts to enhance the primary healthcare system across the three senatorial districts. This includes significant improvements to healthcare facilities and the procurement of essential medical equipment for hospitals, ensuring that quality healthcare is accessible to all.
Education remains a top priority for Governor Aiyedatiwa, who recognizes it as a fundamental industry for the people of Ondo State. His administration is making serious efforts to improve the education sector, aligning with the commitment to address the pressing needs of our citizens.
Furthermore, the administration is dedicated to fostering a culture of engagement between the government and stakeholders in Ondo State. Regular meetings and forums have been established, allowing members to discuss critical issues affecting our communities and contribute to the development of the state. This collaborative approach has enabled our members to serve in advisory roles and provide valuable feedback on government plans.
We are particularly pleased with the renewed efforts to tackle security challenges in the state. The Governor has bolstered the security framework by investing in the Amotekun Corps, which has led to a noticeable reduction in criminal activities. Additionally, the establishment of six new security points in forested areas aims to curb illegal mining and logging.
In a decisive move against land grabbing and related crimes, Governor Aiyedatiwa inaugurated the State Task Force on Property Protection and Anti-Land Grabbing. This task force was established in response to the rising cases of violent land disputes, illegal occupations, fraudulent land sales, and unregulated charges imposed by individual land operators.
