Operatives of Ondo State Security Network Agency, code-named Amotekun, have rescued the remaining three people who were abducted last Wednesday in the state.
The victims, who were among the 12 passengers that were attacked by the bandits at the bad portion of the road, were whisked away into the bush while the remaining nine passengers were rescued by the Amotekun Corps on Wednesday.
Confirming the development, state commander of the Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, said, “I can confirm to you that we have rescued the three remaining victims and they will be reunited with their families.”
Adeleye added that the victims would be reunited with their family members on Saturday [today].
He said that his men responded to a distress call from concerned citizens
The victims were travelling to Lagos from Ifira-Akoko in Akoko South-East Local Government Area of the state when they were kidnapped by gunmen at the bad portion of Idoani-Ifira road.
Amotekun corps had gone after the kidnappers and rescued nine victims on Thursday.
