Ondo ADC State Vice Chairman Oluwole resigns over crisis

The Vice Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Ondo State, Hon Eric Oluwole has resigned from the party over what he described as the irreconcilable differences over the leadership crisis bedeviling the party.

His resignation was contained in a letter dated April 3, 2026, to the party’s Ward Chairman, Ward 7, Ondo West, which was received today Thursday April 9, at the party’s Ward secretariat.

According to the resignation letter, which was also copied to the party’s Ondo West council chairman, and state chairman:

“I appreciate the privilege given to me to serve as a State Vice Chairman of the Party with my membership number: ON-OND-LO-1360774

“Please, be informed that after wide consultations with my political leaders, teeming allies and supporters, and indeed my entire political structure, I, Hon (Dr.) Eric Oluwole A.E, the ADC State Vice Chairman who oversees the Ondo Central Senatorial District of Ondo State, hereby voluntarily resign my membership of the African Democratic Congress, ADC due to the irreconcilable differences over the leadership crisis bedeviling the ADC.

“I wish to state that the leadership crisis rocking the ADC is beyond my understanding, and frustrating my aspirations, and those of my numerous allies and supporters, indeed my entire political structure, to contribute meaningfully to the political development of Ondo State and Nigeria at large.

“Sadly, this lingering crisis, which I did not bargain for, is beyond my understanding. And I can no longer cope with this unsettling development in my political career.

“Due to these irreconcilable differences over the said leadership crisis in which the party is enmeshed, I hereby officially resign my membership of the ADC. Furthermore, I announce that my entire political structure including all my allies are also pulling out of the ADC in pursuit of our political career elsewhere.”
