Omoyele bags excellence in security award

Osun Amotekun Corps commander,  Dr. Adekunle Omoyele, has bagged an award of excellence for his outstanding contributions to security, youth empowerment, and the entertainment industry in the state.

It was bestowed on him during the Gbagede Iyin 2025 event held at Osogbo Grammar School Hall and hosted by gospel minister, Apostle Segun Peters.

The gathering, which also marked the host’s birthday, attracted top gospel artistes, community leaders, and well-wishers in a spirited atmosphere of gratitude and celebration.

Omoyele was celebrated as a multidimensional leader,va seasoned security professional and a strong advocate for creative development and youth inclusion.

Speakers at the event described him as selfless, accessible, and committed to the holistic development of Osun communities.

Since his appointment as Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, Omoyele has introduced strategic reforms that have reinforced public safety across the state.

His tenure has been defined by improved community policing, citizen engagement, and a notable reduction in criminal activities.

In his acceptance speech, Omoyele expressed heartfelt appreciation to the organisers and dedicated the award to the people of Osun State.

He said, “I am deeply honoured by this recognition. It is not only an encouragement but also a call to continue giving my best.

“I remain committed to promoting peace, supporting our youths, and contributing to a safer, more vibrant Osun.”

He also emphasized that compassion, inclusivity, and service to others have always defined his life and leadership style, promising to uphold those values in all endeavours.

The event rounded up with prayers, musical performances, and loud ovation for the honoree.
