Okitipupa Local Government Chairman, Omo’ba Abayomi Adesanya has thanked the people of the Local Government for the support given to the All Progressive Congress Government of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, in its quest to transform the State through numerous programmes .
In his New Year Message, Adesanya added that the State is in safe hand with the leadership of Akeredolu.
This was contained in a statement by the Press Secretary to the Chairman, Mr. Martins Fasusi, and sent to The Radiance.
According to the statement, Adesanya called on the people to continue to support the government and eschew divisive tendencies that are inimical to the growth of the State.
It said: “He added that the governor’s steering efforts of industrialising the State is already yielding positive results as hundreds of youths in the state have been gainfully employed through many of the government policies apart from the direct employment especially in the Health, Education and Agricultural Sectors.
Adesanya assured the people that he would not relent in his effort to make the Local Government a better place by creating an enabling environment for socioeconomic activities to thrive through a proper synergy with the security operatives.
Also, he called for peaceful coexistence and cautioned against violence, hatred and bitterness.
Quoting the chairman, the statement said: “We are prepared for the onerous task of governance and set to hit ground running as the new year commences.
Though, my administration has worked hard in the last six months to achieve grater results, we are still committed and indebted to making lives more meaningful to our people through various projects and policies.
Our resources may be inadequate to meet all our needs for rapid economic growth and infrastructural development, but peace will pave way for strategic planning and development.”
