Odimayo greets Ondo Muslims at Sallah

A former All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship aspirant in Ondo State, Prince Jimi Odimayo has urged Muslims in the state to hold on to the tenets, dictates and teachings of the Almighty Allah as preached by Prophet Mohammed.

He made the call in in his goodwill message to the Islamic faithful in the state and the world at large, as they celebrate this year’s Eid el-Kabir, otherwise known as Ileya festival.

It was signed by his Media Special Assistant, Mr Yemi Akintomide.

He advised them to continuously give worthy offering of love, oneness and selflessness to their fellow men as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim, who sacrificed his only son, Ismail to Almighty Allah in obedience, but got rewarded by setting Ismail free.

The Ode-Irele born businessman turned politician enjoined Muslim brothers and sisters in the State to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir in peace and strict adhere to all the safety health measures to curtail the spread of the novel Covid-19 pandemic, praying  to God to grant humanity success, protection, good health, long life and ability to conquer the pandemic soonest.

He urged them to use this occasion to also pray for the peaceful conduct of the October 20, 2020 Governorship Election in Ondo State, adding that only in an atmosphere of peace and harmony could the state develop rapidly and her citizens enjoy full dividends of democracy.

Odimayo also used the festive moment to enjoin Muslims, and indeed, Ondo state electorate to come out in large numbers to support and reelect the candidate of APC and incumbent Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for another term to enable him complete all the laudable and people oriented projects that are ongoing across the Nooks and crannies of the state.

He said: “As we all go about celebrating the goodness of Almighty Allah at this year’s Eid el-Kabir, let us adhere strictly to the teaching of Prophet Mohammed (SAW), by showing love and generosity to our neighbours, share our ram meat and food with the poor and have-not according to the teaching of the holy Quran and obedience to Allah’s Commandment.

“On behalf of my immediate and political family members, I wish you all, and your families Happy Eid-el-Kabir and pray that we all shall witness many more years in celebration of the Love and Goodness of Almighty Allah.”
