Obasanjo in Osun, visits Oyetola

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, on Saturday paid a visit to the Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, at the Okefia Government House, Osogbo. Obasanjo was also received by the wife of the governor, Kafayat Oyetola, and a few aides of the governor.

The pictures of the visit seen on social media, showed Oyetola presenting a gift to his visitor.

Although details of what the two men discussed were not available as of press time, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ismail Omipidan, said the visit was not held behind closed doors.

Omipidan said Obasanjo told his host that he was in Okuku to witness the installation of a former Osun governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, as Baba Ijo of Oba Moses Oyinlola Memorial Anglican Church earlier in the day.

He said Obasanjo further explained that he decided to use the opportunity of his presence in the state to visit the governor and greet him.

Oyetola’s aide said the governor thanked the former president for the visit.
