Nigeria today, prosperous tomorrow: Tinubu administration’s impact for assessment

Eminent Nigerians across the board will gather in Abuja on July 4, 2024, to make a comprehensive assessment of the impact of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR., on the overall socio-economic fabric of Nigeria in the last year.

It will be at the maiden Prof Emeka Umerah Public Lecture being held under the theme “Nigeria yesterday, today and a prosperous future.”

Particularly, the forum will appraise how implementing the President’s 2023 Renewed Hope Policy Document, formed out of his campaign mantra, has positively or negatively impacted the efforts towards building a more prosperous and greater Nigeria, and make appropriate recommendations.

According to a statement by Comrade Eric Oluwole, the event is in solidarity with, and honor of the President Tinubu administration’s activities and impacts towards a greater Nigeria.

Billed to be held at 10.00 am at the Nigeria/Plateau Hall, Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, the event will showcase how the Tinubu administration has weathered the storm of the socioeconomic challenges it confronted to record the achievements credited to it in the last one year.

Oluwole said that the forum will highlight the administration’s achievements to encourage it to do more in the next three years in its efforts to build a new Nigeria that will be a pride of all and a haven both for the strong and the weak.

Also, the forum will assess the challenges, highlight areas calling for attention, and recommend the ways forward.

This is coming against the backdrop of the inauguration of some newly completed projects by President Tinubu to mark his first year in office. Also, the administration has highlighted its achievements in the last year.

Specifically, the Renewed Hope policy document placed national security, economy, agriculture, power, oil and gas, transportation, and education on the front burner.

Other key areas of priority are the digital economy, sport, entertainment and culture, youth empowerment and entrepreneurship, women empowerment, social programs, judicial reforms, federalism, power decentralization, and foreign policy,

Royal Fathers of the Day are the Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolopolo CFR, Ewuare ll; Emir of Dutsi, Jigawa State, Alhaji Hamim Nuhu Sanusi CFR; and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers and Etsu Nupe, Alhaji (Dr) Yahaya Abubakar.

The Father of the Day is the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, while Chief Mrs Folashade Tinubu-Ojo is the Mother of the Day.

The Keynote Speaker at the event is the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; while Senator Adams Oshiomhole and Prof Sam Amadi are Guest Speakers.

Special Guests of Honour are Prince (Engnr) Arthur Eze OFR, and FCT Minister Chief Nyesom Wike.

Prof Emeka Umerah is an American-based Nigerian Professor of Medicine, philanthropist, and activist.

He is the President and Executive Program Director, of the Public Policy Advocacy and Research Council, Inc. (PPARC).

The PPARC is a non-partisan political think tank aiding policymakers in research and advocacy of public policy, research, and education in the United States. Besides, the council performs lawful advocacy and lobbying activities in the USA.
