The National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, on Friday appreciated Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for appointing seven new directors into some companies.
It also felicitated with the appointees who it charged to discharge their responsibilities creditably to justify the trust reposed in them by the “indefatigable and Talk-and-do Governor of Ondo State.”
In a statement by the chairman of the council in Ondo State, Pathfinder Mathew Adewale Ogunmolawa, NYCN congratulated the appointees whose appointment it described as “timely and worthy.”
The governor had earlier approved the appointment of seven new directors to represent the state on the board of some companies.
Information and Orientation commissioner, Mr Donald Ojogo, had made this known in a statement in Akure earlier on Thursday.
The directors are Dr Remi Olatubora and High Chief Stephen Arowojolu for Ore Irele Oil Palm Company Ltd; and Mr Faloye Adefolahan who was appointed into EPL Sunshine Ltd.
Others are Pastor Olugbenga Olumolawa for FCA- EPL Sunshine Ltd; Mr Yisa Bakare for Jonvic Quadknight Sunhine Ltd; Prince Olabiyi Poroye for Alpha 3D Company Ltd; and Hon. Stephen Olemija for Alpha 3D Company.
The governor had congratulated the new appointees and urged them to protect the interest of the state in their respective companies.
He had also reiterated his administration’s commitment to facilitate, promote, manage and support domestic and foreign direct investments for social and economic development of the state.
