By Malcolm Little Black
I see the light that is in you
As you see the lustre that is mine;
My soul deep in its lushness
Honours the taste of your wine
I know the colour of your kindness;
On the bowl of truth i chose to dine,
And the subtle sound of the universe
Echoes through me, you and thine
I have recognised the scent of love,
It smells like the fruit bearing vine;
And the love that i found in you
Prodded my heart and ends my whine
And the beauty found in the world
Reverberates in me, in you and thine,
May we in time learn to incline
To harmony and all its cline.
