Players bought one dollar for N1600 and sold at N1607 on Tuesday 6th August 2024, according to sources at Bureau De Change (BDC).
Please note that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognize the parallel market (black market), as it has directed individuals who want to engage in Forex to approach their respective banks.
Data from the FMDQ Exchange, which manages the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM), indicated that the naira improved by ₦9.93.
This marks a gain of 0.61 percent compared to the previous trading day on August 2, when the exchange rate was ₦1,617.08 to the dollar.
However, the total daily turnover declined, falling to 77.09 million dollars on Monday, a decrease from the 131.55 million dollars recorded on August 2.
In the Investor’s and Exporter’s (I&E) window, the naira fluctuated between ₦1,620.50 and ₦1,570.00 against the dollar.
