More developmental projects coming, Aiyedatiwa assures

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has concluded the three senatorial districts’ flag-off of his election campaigns in Ore, Odigbo Local Government area, promising continued development for the state’s people.

He said he would not renege on his promises after winning the forthcoming election.

Aiyedatiwa who addressed a large crowd of supporters in Ore on Wednesday, assured that more impactful projects would be delivered if elected, stating that his administration’s achievements so far were just the beginning.

His words: “You haven’t seen anything yet, more developmental projects are coming, and I am committed to transforming every part of this state.”

He highlighted the strong unity within the APC, stating, “The APC remains a united, indivisible family, and every leader in our party is focused on a single goal which is our victory on November 16.”

Also, he expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people for their overwhelming support, attributing it to the tangible development his administration has brought to Ondo State.

“The love and support you’ve shown to me and our party are a result of the progress you’ve seen, you recognize the difference we’ve made, and you want that progress to continue.”

The governor called on the people to turn their support into action during the upcoming election. “On November 16, I urge everyone here and even those who couldn’t make it to translate your support into votes for the APC, so we can keep moving Ondo State forward.”

Deputy Governor Olayide Adelami also reinforced the message of progress, urging the people to continue supporting Aiyedatiwa’s administration, which he described as focused on the welfare of Ondo State.

In his remarks, a former governorship aspirant and prominent APC leader, Chief Olusola Oke, expressed confidence in the party’s stronghold in the southern district, saying, “The South belongs to the APC, the people here know the governor’s track record, and they stand firmly with him. We will deliver victory for Governor Aiyedatiwa.”

He emphasised that the governor’s leadership had brought unprecedented growth to the region, and more could be achieved with another term.

Abiola Makinde, the Director-General of the Aiyedatiwa Campaign, called on the people to remain united and resist distractions during the campaign.

“This election is about progress, and we cannot afford to lose focus.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa has proved his capacity to lead, and with your support, we will secure victory,” he enthused.

Speaking on behalf of the party, APC State Chairman, Ade Adetimehin, assured the governor that the party was well-prepared to win in all 18 local government areas.

“We are confident that Governor Aiyedatiwa will win across the state; the governor has the people’s trust, and I’m sure the governor will continue to prioritise the development and welfare of citizens,” he said.

A member of the House of Representatives representing the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Federal constituency, Festus Adefiranye, said the APC had all it takes to win the governorship election in Ondo State.

Adefiranye said “Continuity is a factor in this Ondo State election; Lagos is what it is today because of continuity.

“So that is what we should also inculcate in Ondo State in the forthcoming election holding on November 16, 2024

“In view of this, I urge all residents of Odigbo Local Government area of Ondo state to troop in mass and vote for Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as Governor of Ondo State in the forthcoming gubernatorial election and let continuity continue.”

Also in his remarks, the Ondo State Commissioner for Information, Wale Akinlosotu, highlighted the massive turnout at the event as a clear testament to the strong support for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s leadership.

“Look around you, this crowd is proof that Governor Aiyedatiwa is delivering for the people; the people want continuity beyond 2024, they believe in the governor’s vision and the progress that he has brought to the state.” He said

Addressing the issue of vote buying, Akinlosotu strongly cautioned the public to resist any attempt to sell their votes.

“Do not let anyone buy your vote. Your vote is your power, and you must use it wisely to secure your future, make sure you cast your vote and also canvass for Governor Aiyedatiwa.

“It’s important that we stand together to ensure his victory,” he prodded.
