A senior officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Funmilayo Oluwamayokun Lasisi, and her daughter, Sewa Lasisi, who were declared missing in Ogun State earlier this month, have reportedly been found dead in Osun State.

The tragic discovery was shared on Facebook by user Ayomideji Solanke, who attributed the information to a family source.

The 38-year-old officer and her teenage daughter were last seen on the morning of Sunday, November 2, after leaving their residence at Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. Their disappearance sparked widespread concern and online appeals for information on their whereabouts.

According to Solanke’s post, the remains of the mother and daughter were allegedly recovered at the residence of a suspected herbalist in an undisclosed community in Osun State.

It read, “The mystery surrounding the disappearance of FRSC officer SRC Lasisi Funmilayo Oluwamayokun and her young daughter, Sewa, has taken a tragic turn as their remains were reportedly discovered in the home of a suspected herbalist in Osun State.”

The Facebook user added that the wife of the suspected herbalist had been arrested, while the man himself was said to be on the run at the time of the report.

As of the time of filing this story, law-enforcement authorities had not issued an official statement confirming the circumstances of the discovery, the identity of suspects, or details of the ongoing investigation.
