President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of former House of Representatives member, Rotimi Makinde, as Chairman of the Governing Council of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Kebbi State.
Previously a council member at Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, he was appointed in a letter dated August 14, signed by the Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa. The redeployment takes immediate effect.
According to the letter, the appointment is at the President’s discretion, and Makinde’s new role falls under Category ‘B’ of Federal Government Agencies and Statutory Corporations, with terms outlined in a 2016 circular.
The Minister extended his congratulations and best wishes to Makinde in the letter.
