The High Chief Ojomu of Ipee land, Kolawole Adeyinka Sunday, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims and Christians in Ipee and beyond as they commence the sacred fasting seasons of Ramadan and Lent, urging adherents to embrace renewed devotion and spiritual reflection.

In a goodwill message released to mark the beginning of the holy periods, the traditional leader described the season as a profound moment for introspection, moral renewal, and rededication to the will of God.

He encouraged both faith communities to fully embrace the spiritual lessons embedded in the fasting period, stressing the importance of deepening their commitment to righteous living, peaceful coexistence, and service to humanity.

Ojomu also called on the faithful to strengthen bonds of unity and extend hands of fellowship across religious lines, noting that the season offers a unique opportunity to promote love, tolerance, and harmony within society.

According to him, the fasting period is not only about abstaining from food and worldly pleasures but also about cultivating virtues such as selflessness, discipline, patience, and sacrifice — qualities exemplified by revered figures in both Islam and Christianity.

He further urged believers to refrain from actions capable of undermining their prayers and spiritual growth, while doubling their efforts in acts of charity and compassion.

Praying for divine guidance, wisdom, and strength for all adherents, the Ojomu expressed hope that the holy season would usher in peace, unity, and prosperity for the community and the nation at large, while wishing everyone the grace to witness many more fasting seasons in good healt
