Fuji music maestro and the Mayegun of Yorubaland, Wasiu Ayinde Barrister popularly called K1 De Ultimate, in collaboration with Fuji: A Opera, Ogidi Studios, and the Isolo Local Council Development Area, Lagos will on November 25 hold the first-of-its-kind Fuji virtual experience to commemorate his 50th year in the industry.
A statement on Monday by the Media Relations Officer of Fuji: A Opera, Oyindamola Arowora, said that the concert which promises a fusion of culture and cutting-edge technology, will be streamed live online for fans all over the world, including Nigeria.
She said: “To commemorate his tremendous achievements, K1 Virtual Experience seeks to unravel and tell his story in a unique way using technology, with the goal of providing an aperitive experience to core Fuji fans – at home and abroad.”
During the event, K1 De Ultimate will take fans on a musical journey Era by Era, performing vibrantly to his greatest hits and featuring some surprise celebrity cameos, it added.
The statement said that concertgoers can request songs in realtime during the live virtual experience, allowing for a more interactive set; while tickets to the virtual concert are available for $6.99 per device on the official website, www.k1virtual.com.
K1 De Ultimate has released over 86 albums and toured over 40 countries since his first international tour between North America and Europe in 1986.
Besides, the K1 Virtual Experience will officially launch what has been dubbed “Fuji December.”

Wasiu Ayinde Olasunkanmi, also known as K1 De Ultimate (King of Fuji Music, Oba Orin, Mayegun of Yoruba Land), was born on March 3, 1957 in Agarawu, Lagos State, Nigeria.
He first became interested in music when he was eight years old, and by the age of fifteen, he had won titles in a number of regional musical competitions.
K1 De Ultimate has remained at the top of his game by remaining relevant while serving as the anchor for Fuji Music.
It has been 50 years since his journey began, and he has not only brought Fuji to the forefront of music, but he has also mentored proteges who are doing well in the Fuji music industry.
