IPOB alleges plot plan to poison, kill Kanu

Pro-separatist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has raised the alarm over what it described as clandestine plan to eliminate their leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu through poisoning, drug abuse and starvation.

Kanu, who is detained by the Department for State Security (DSS), is allegedly dying through a silent and systematic process of gradual starvation.

Raising the alarm on Friday, the group through its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful alleged that Kanu feeds twice a day on bread and water without medication for the treatment of his ailment while in the DSS solitary confinement facility in Abuja.

The group threatened that the killing of Kanu in DSS custody would come with unimaginable consequences as the group alleged that its leader has been poisoned to gradually die.

“The secret police wants to eliminate Mazi Nnamdi Kanu up through a silent and systematic process of gradual starvation of giving him only bread and water twice a day and drugs abuse by providing him insufficient medication for his known ailment while in their solitary confinement facility in Abuja.
