The Ila Orangun Traditional Council, under the leadership of Oba Abdul Wahab Olukayode Oyedotun (Bibire I), has praised Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, for initiating the dualisation of the Ila township road — describing it as a historic and transformative development for the ancient town.

It gave the commendation during the governor’s condolence visit to the monarch following the passing of his senior wife, Olori Abosede Oyedotun.

Speaking on behalf of the monarch and the people of Ila, the Ejemu of Ila expressed gratitude to the governor for fulfilling his promises and bringing meaningful development to the town.

He said, “This project is a dream come true. It is the first of its kind in Ila’s history and a clear testament to Governor Adeleke’s promise-keeping leadership,”

“What many thought was impossible is now becoming a reality.”

The monarch further assured the Governor of the community’s continued support, especially ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.

“Ila Orangun stands with you — yesterday, today, and tomorrow,” he declared.

Adeleke also visited the family of the departed PDP chieftain, Elder Kolapo Lawal, before proceeding to inspect the ongoing dualisation work. He charged the contractors to uphold high standards and ensure timely delivery of the project.

Reiterating his administration’s commitment to inclusive development, the Governor assured the people that no town or village in Osun State would be left behind.

“Our development agenda is for every part of Osun. We are focused on delivering life-changing infrastructure across the state, and we will not abandon any ongoing projects,” he said.

He appreciated the people of Ila for their patience and cooperation, promising more projects and initiatives aimed at transforming the town and improving lives.
