Whether he is in private capacity or working for a large organization, the need to project a favourable image is always paramount and predominant in the mind of the PR practitioner.

In doing this, the PR man or woman has at the back of his or her mind, the need to project the public image of his or her organization and that of him or herself.

Various factors that could affect the public image of any company are:

1. Bad Product Formulation

2. Unattractive Packaging

3. Bad Company Policies

4. Lack of  Adequate Communication- External/Internal

5. Inefficient Services

6. Fraudulent Practices

7. Lack of integrity on the Part of its Employees

8. Poor Business Relations with its Direct Customers and Retailers.

9. Inability to Fulfil its Financial and Social Obligations

For organizations to promote their services and produce in a highly competitive world, the above effects must be put into consideration for organization sustainability.
