The pioneer and incumbent Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, Prof. Emmanuel Adedayo Fasakin, was honoured by his home Community of Omuo-Ekiti in Ekiti State on Thursday, 30th December, 2021 with the prestigious Omuo Exceptional Award titled Omoluka.
A statement on Wednesday January 5 by the institution’s Head, Information, Protocol, Passages, Mr Sanmi Enigbokan, said that the award was conferred on Fasakin by the Olomuo of Omuo Kingdom, Oba (Dr.) Noah Adejuwon Omonigbehin, Okinbaloye 11, in recognition of his contributions to the overall development of Omuo Community.
It said that the investiture ceremony, which held at the Palace of the Olumuo of Omuo Ekiti Kingdom, was attended by eminent sons and daughters of Omuo Community with Staff and Friends of the Polytechnic.
In his words of appreciation, Prof Fasakin reportedly thanked all those that attended the auspicious occasion, saying he would continue to support Omuo Community and humanity at large.
The Omoluka Award is a honorary award reserved only for distinguished member(s) of Omuo Community who have contributed immensely to the overall development of the Community.
