History: Writing autobiography and attitudes of African leaders today

Opinion

By Nelson Fadoju

You don’t need to write a book for the yet unborn People to know you.

Matthew 7:16
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Matthew 7:20
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

People by themselves create history by one way or the other.

If you don’t want People to write your Biography, you can do it by yourself to write your own Auto- biography so that there won’t be any mistake of opinion.

In all, the Almighty has His Own Hidden Camera that will be made open on the last day for Mankind.

Now, People that matter are systematically writing their Auto-Biography themselves by their attitudes, actions and Pronouncements.

Physical Auto-Biography can emerge…

You may not know or understand People and Leaders until some of them occupy higher offices.

Then, their true colour will appear, glittering and they begin to act as if they are the Almighty.

They are not. He doesn’t resemble them at all.

Definitely, History shall describe Mankind in Life.

Ecclesiastes 9:1
For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God: no man knoweth either love or hatred by all that is before them.

Amos 8:7
The LORD hath sworn by the excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works.

Let us ask the Almighty to do something NEW in our lives to be able to lift Human Beings up and better their lives than we met them when we assume Positions of Authority.

This is not only for Political Leaders alone but,for every Leader with Subjects under them.

Do you need many books before you can remember Leaders like Jesus Christ, Mohammed, Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther, Chief Mrs Funmilayo Kuti, James Aggrey, Bishop Desmond Tutu, Chief Herbert Macaulay, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Patrice Lumumba, Julius Nyerere, Kwame Nkurumah, Kofi Anah, Jomo Kenyatta, Haile Sellassie, Dr. Nnamdi Azikwe, Alh.Tafawa Balewa, Alh. Aminu Kano, Chief Adekunle Ajasin, Alh. Lateef Jakande, Chief Ambrose Alli, Chief Reuben Fasoranti, Dr.Nelson Mandela, George Washington, John F. Kennedy, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Amina, Gen. Murtala Muhammed, Lawyer Gani Fawehinmi, Ellen Johnson- Sirleaf etc ?

Why ?

Because, their foot-prints are following them after their death to the extent that they can never be forgotten by generations coming after them.

But there are others who mis- use their Positions while in office. Such People should remember that the Lord is our over-all Principal Who cater for the general well-being of Mankind.

Please, where do you stand in Public, Civil and any other form of leadership Services in the Society?

Are you the type that lords it over on your subjects like an Arrogant Dictator, Boss and not Co-Worker when you are put in Position of Responsibility?

Remember that it is your work through your Character that will describe you. People will read us and our works before writing your Auto-Biography in life.

Infact, “We Are the Bible People read today”.  “Your work will clearly define your Auto- Biography and also show who you are” before and after the call of the Almighty to “A Place Where Everybody Is Equal Before God”.

Your Biography is your everlasting Mirror.

History ! History !! History !!!
