Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has commended the Management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, for giving necessary support to his administration.
He gave the commendation when he visited Akoko South West Local Government Area of the State, where the University domiciles, as part of his thank-you visit to all the 18 Local Government Areas of the State.
Addressing the gathering at Oka Akoko, the Governor said, “I want to specially thank the Management of Adekunle Ajasin University for faring well. You are a pillar of support to this government. You have stood by us at all times and the government is going to stand by you.”
Akeredolu, who is the Visitor to the University, added, “There are three state-owned varsities in Ondo State, you have managed your university in a very good way. You and your Chairman of the Governing Council are doing very well. And I thank you for that.”
Responding to the commendation at the end of the Governor’s thank-you visit, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, appreciated the Governor for recognising the efforts being made by his team of Management, and expressed further support to the Gov. Akeredolu-led government.Prof. Ajibefun said, “We are overwhelmed by the Governor’s commendation and we will continue to support his government and policies.
