A heavy downpour on Saturday in Akure, the Ondo State capital, left major roads in the city flooded.
The affected roads included Ọba Adesida road, Ondo road and Oyemekun Road.
The flood also took over the popular Erekesan market.
Many motorists abandoned their vehicles in the flood as they were already stuck in the water.
Some passengers were also seen carrying loads as they tried to find their way out of the flooded areas.
While lamenting the ugly situation, the people appealed to Government to find a lasting solution to the perenial problem of flooding in Akure and other parts of the state.
The flood left many residents stranded on the affected roads.
