Oyo State Waste Consultant, Mottainai Recycling Ltd has stressed the importance of a healthy lifestyle, adding that keeping communities and environment clean is equally key.
A statement by the Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatubosun, said the firm’s boss, Mr. Adey Adewuyi, stressed this during an inspection of waste evacuation by PSPs in Ibadan metropolis, the state capital.
He quoted Adewuyi saying “Healthy living is best achieved when we keep our communities and environment clean. At Mottainai Recycling, we are committed to ensuring this is our reality.”
Expressing the firm’s support for the campaign on proper waste disposal by the State government, he stressed that there is a need to educate the populace on proper sanitation.
He restated the commitment of his company to the continuous advocacy of a cleaner environment initiative in the State.
He said, “Mottainai is supporting the Oyo State Government to ensure that the clean and ideal Oyo State is delivered.”
He also called on residents in the state to act in an environmentally-friendly manner, in order to avoid flooding.
Besides, he said residents of Oyo State especially occupants of areas close to drainage must stop the dumping of refuse in drainage channels and erecting structures on drainage alignments.
